ICC Iraq has officially joined the global network with its launch at ICC’s Global Headquarters in Paris today. The new ICC national committee in Iraq will promote the ICC’s mission, amplifying the voice of Iraqi businesses and chambers on the international stage. This expansion reflects ICC’s commitment to extending its global reach.

The addition of ICC Iraq brings the total number of ICC national committees to 92. A delegation from the ICC joined ICC leaders and staff in Paris for the official launch, followed by a celebration at the Iraqi Embassy. This event marks a significant step in enhancing the global presence of Iraqi businesses.
ICC Expands its Global Network Amidst Challenges
In today’s world, businesses face geo-economic and geopolitical tensions, creating instability and new challenges, particularly in Iraq. ICC Secretary General John W.H Denton AO emphasized that bringing ICC’s mission to Iraq will provide significant value to Iraqi businesses and their economies. The new national committee will play a crucial role in supporting business operations amidst these challenges.
ICC Mission and Objectives
ICC Iraq will support ICC’s institutional goals of fostering peace, prosperity, and opportunities for all. The committee will focus on areas such as arbitration and ADR, the digital economy, intellectual property, and trade and investment. The leadership of ICC Iraq
The founding members of the ICC are Abdulrazaq Al-Zuheere, who serves as the Honorary Chair and President of the Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce (FICC); Mohsin Al Hamed, Chair of ICC Iraq and Al-Asriya Group; and Ahmed Alyasiri, ICC Secretary General and International Organization Consultant at FICC. Their leadership will be pivotal in driving the ICC’s mission in Iraq.

Through the national committee, ICC members will help shape ICC policies and bring international business concerns to the attention of governments.
